The OIML Vocabularies site hosts 12 terminology datasets covering the full historical range of OIML vocabulary publications:

VIM, International Vocabulary of Metrology (OIML V 2 series)

The foundational vocabulary for measurement science, jointly maintained with BIPM, IEC, IFCC, ILAC, ISO, IUPAC, and UIPAP.

What the browser offers

Built with the Glossarist Concept Browser, the site provides:

Relationship to SMART

In the OIML SMART pilot, the vocabulary provides the semantic foundation for machine-readable Recommendations:

  • Consistent terminology across all modeled Recommendations
  • Concept identifiers that can be referenced from structured requirements
  • Definition provenance linking terms back to the authoritative source

The vocabulary data is maintained in Glossarist YAML format in the oimlsmart/vocab repository.
