The twin is the interface
The instrument answers in the Recommendation's own vocabulary: its IS (identity), its HAS (attributes and registers), its DOES (processes and indications). The twin is not a command shell; it is the instrument's model, live.
A tailored projection
The SMART twin is what the Recommendation governs of the instrument's full digital twin: the certified surface. Everything the Recommendation measures and constrains, nothing else.
Twin certification
A certificate program of its own: the twin's indication is probed against the physical display, and the certificate states the binding holds. The promise is declarative, the evidence is recorded.
Continuous compliance
The compliance engine watches the twin against the certified promises: a drift flags, an outage degrades to indeterminate, a re-judgment rides the same verdict chain as the type evaluation.
