59th CIML Meeting — Resolutions (EN)

Welcomes Djibouti as a new Corresponding Member,

Notes the corrected information regarding Corresponding Member budgeted income for 2023, 2024, and 2025 given in 59th CIML Meeting Document 7.1.

Approves the 2023 accounts, and

Approves the extension of this appointment for two additional calendar years.

Notes the report given by the BIML Director, Encourages the BIML to continue its efforts to recover outstanding arrears of its Member States and Corresponding Members, and

Notes the report on the budget forecast for 2024 given by the BIML Director.

Notes the report on the current status of OIML activities on e-Learning and other online training, Encourages Members to collaborate on this activity by providing information on material that is available online, by making suggestions for topics of future e-Learning and training, and by making respective resources available as far as possible.

Notes the continued success of the concept of "Mentor" for key topics of the OIML Bulletin,

Notes the report of the Acting OIML Certification System (OIML-CS) Management Committee (MC) Chairperson,

Appoints Mr Marc Schmidt as OIML-CS Management Committee Chairperson for a three-year term with effect from 1 January 2025.

Appoints Ms Katharina Gierschke as OIML-CS Management Committee Deputy Chairperson for a three-year term with effect from 1 January 2025.

Notes the report of the CEEMS Advisory Group (AG) Chairperson,

Appoints Mr Ashutosh Agarwal as CEEMS AG Vice-Chairperson for a three-year term with immediate effect.

Notes the report of the OIML Digitalisation Task Group (DTG) Chairperson,

Approves the DTG Roadmap provided in 59th CIML Meeting Document 14.2 and presented by the DTG Chairperson as important guidance regarding work items for the DTG, and

Notes the report of the Regional Legal Metrology Organisations (RLMO) Round Table Chairperson, Recognising the key role Dr Charles Ehrlich has played in advancing the work of the RLMO Round Table, and in significantly increasing collaboration amongst the RLMOs,

Notes the report on OIML activities with organisations in liaison.

Requests Dr Charles Ehrlich to represent the OIML on the Consultative Committee for Units (CCU), and

Requests the BIML to complete the procedures necessary for the OIML to become an "accepted observer" in the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC),

Congratulates this year's recipients of an OIML Medal,
