48th CIML Meeting — Resolutions (EN)

Approves the minutes of the 47th CIML Meeting.

Notes the report given by its President.

Notes the report given by the BIML Director.

Approves the revision of OIML B 7 BIML Staff regulations.

Decides to renew the contract of Mr. Ian Dunmill, BIML Assistant Director, for a five-year term from 15 March 2014.

Welcomes Colombia as a new Member State and Zambia as a re-instated Member State;

Approves the 2012 accounts; and

Requests those Members with arrears to bring their situation up to date as soon as possible.

Welcomes the proposal from its Member from China to reinstate a leadership mechanism to provide guidance to the OIML on its activities in this area;

Approves the revision of OIML B 6-1 Directives for OIML technical work, subject to the additional amendments as mentioned in the report of the ad-hoc group under "Category A (editorial)";

Approves the following draft publications: - OIML V1 International vocabulary of terms in legal metrology (VIML), - OIML R 46-3 Active electrical energy meters - Part 3: Test report format, - OIML R 49-1 Water meters for cold potable water and hot water - Part 1: Metrological and technical requirements, - OIML R 49-2 Water meters for cold potable water and hot water - Part 2: Test methods, - OIML R 49-3 Water meters for cold potable water and hot water - Part 3: Test report format, - New OIML Recommendation Instruments for continuous measuring CO and $ \mathrm{N O_{x}} $ in stationary source emissions, - OIML D 11 General requirements for measuring instruments - Environmental conditions, - OIML B 14 Procedure for the election of the CIML President and Vice-Presidents.

Confirms its decision to start as a new project in TC 4 Measurement standards and calibration and verification devices, the revision of OIML D 8:2004 Measurement standards. Choice, recognition, use, conservation and documentation.

Confirmss its decision to start as a new project in TC 6 Prepackaged products, the drafting of a new publication Guidance for defining the system requirements for a certification system for prepackages, noting the reservations expressed by some of its Members.

Confirmss its decision to start as a new project in TC1 Terminology, the set up and maintenance of a bilingual (i.e. English/French) electronic vocabulary containing the entries from the VIM and the VIML and additional terms and definitions validated by the Project Group.

Instructs the BIML in its capacity as secretariat of the MAA Committees on Participation Review (CPR) to set up an ad-hoc working group consisting of interested CIML and/or CPR members and representatives of manufacturers' associations to consider how this awareness can be raised, and to provide secretarial support to this working group;

Resolves that steps should be taken to ensure that, in future, there will be only one single certification system for OIML type evaluations, based on the principles of the MAA, and that, as a first step, the options for how such a single system may be organized, how the transition could take place and by what time schedule, should be investigated, taking into account the experiences of similar, well established certification systems; Urges the ad hoc group created in its Resolution no. 2013/15 to investigate such options and to make appropriate recommendations.

Elects Dr. Yukinobu Miki, its Member for Japan, as second Vice-President for a six-year term.

Approves the revision of OIML R 100 Atomic absorption spectrometer systems for measuring metal pollutants.
