For Test Laboratories: the one-pager
Evidence captured once, at the moment of work. The Recommendation’s test procedures become a workbench your operators follow step by step; readings accrue as evidence with the operator and the timestamp attached; the test report is generated from that evidence, and your metrologists’ time goes into measurement instead of paperwork mechanics.
What you do today
Dispatches arrive by email; procedures are re-typed into bench software, one transcription per laboratory, each drifting a little from the Recommendation; the report is assembled by hand at the end, and the verdict re-check means reading the PDF against the clauses again.
What changes
- The dispatch lands in your inbox: the request, the samples, the procedure the model declares.
- The workbench walks the procedure step by step: every step’s purpose and clause read from the model, so two laboratories cannot run two different R 60s.
- Readings become evidence at the bench, with the operator and the timestamp; completeness is named, never silently absent.
- The report is generated, never transcribed, and where something is unprovable the record says indeterminate, honestly.

A body asks: can we self-host?
The honest answer: the entitlement is your Member State’s. An Issuing Authority or Test Laboratory operates its own instance under its proposing Member State’s entitlement — the Member State is the entitled party; the body operates. The IA-only, TL-only, and IA+TL postures exist exactly for this, and the platform’s federation means your instance talks to the OIML-CS platform either way.
